You'll feel right at home as soon as you arrive. The countryside location means you'll feel a million miles from everyday life. The villa has all modern comforts, making a holiday here easy and carefree. Ideal for families or small groups, Cava has it all!
You will want to spend all your time outside when staying at Cava. The pool area is a highlight, with the exceptional views out over the countryside and the sea. Sunloungers and umbrellas surround the pool, offering a great spot to soak up the sun in complete peace and tranquility. The villa has a wonderful shady area with a comfy outdoor sofa that is perfect for an aperitivo at sunset. There's also another covered dining area where you can enjoy barbecuing fresh Sicilian food and dining in the warm Sicilian evenings.
Cava has a contemporary, clean and simple style with a wonderful relaxed atmosphere. Walk straight into the living area. This bright and spacious room has a TV, comfy sofas and a small dining table. The living area leads on to the kitchen – which has all the equipment you could need. The kitchen also has direct access to the outside dining area. There is one double bedroom on the ground floor and one modern bathroom with a shower.
The staircase leads up to the mezzanine level where there is another comfortable sofa and a large picture window looking out to the garden. There are two further bedrooms on the first floor: the double bedroom has wonderful sea views, whilst the bunk bedroom looks out over the pool. The first floor also has a shared bathroom with a shower.
Beaches
The gorgeous Tonnara di Scopello is so close to Cava that it is incredibly easy to visit this famous beach with its seastacks that has also regularly been a filming location for international films. If you want a quiet, pebbly beach then head to Guidaloca where there’s also a beach bar. For unspoilt nature Lo Zingaro is just what you’re looking for. You have to hike through a nature reserve and will be rewarded by a series of beautiful rocky bays. There are also popular sandy beaches in the area. San Vito lo Capo is to the west, and Mondello is to the east.
Towns & Sights
Scopello town is near the villa. Eat at one of the lovely restaurants in the atmospheric baglio! Trapani is a small coastal town to the west. Visit the town and take a ferry to Favignana, one of the Aegadian islands. Erice is perched on a hill above Trapani. Reach it either via the cable car or the winding road and enjoy the Medieval atmosphere that feels magical. Slightly further away is Marsala with its beautiful town centre that is full of wine bars and stylish restaurants, and don’t miss the sunset from the salt pans nearby!
Activities
Foodies and wine lovers have many options when staying at Cava. Book an in-villa cook service and a local cook will prepare you a delicious meal. Or drive to Palermo and treat yourself to a Street Food tour of the city. Wine tastings are also a must in this part of Sicily. Visit one of Marsala’s most famous wineries and enjoy the local vintages! If you prefer spending time outside then a boat trip – either along the coast, or out to the Aegadian Islands – is a superb choice. Finally, a private tour of Segesta, Erice, and the Salt Pans is a great option for culture lovers.
