A stunning newly-built villa with amazing sea views on the south coast of Sicily. Guests at Erakle can enjoy a comfortable and picture-perfect holiday, taking in the wonderful views and sea breezes, as well as all the modern comforts the villa has! The villa is close to a beautiful and usually uncrowded beach. Choose from lounging by the pool or hitting the beach. Or do both!
Thanks to its location, Erakle offers both relaxation and fun. Go and explore the local sights – there's so much to see, or just chill out at home. The villa has high-quality furnishings and great style, making it the perfect choice for a wonderful holiday in Sicily.
Erakle has a stunning outdoor setting and lots of space to enjoy living the al fresco Sicilian life. The pool area is a highlight, with great views of the pretty countryside out to sea. Around the pool you can relax on sunloungers – there's even two double sunbeds for extra comfort! Closer to the villa there's a decking area with a hammock (ideal for complete relaxation), and a lovely outdoor dining table. A ping pong table is present for fun competitive moments. A comfortable seating area is under the shade of the veranda. There's also a barbecue for cooking delicious meals together!
The villa is set over three floors – all with comfortable modern furnishings and great style. Walk into the living area: to the right there is a small seating area with a fireplace and picture windows with sea views. In front of you is a wonderful dining area, with French doors overlooking the pool and out towards the sea. The kitchen is slightly raised above this area, and is completely modern and fully equipped. Two double bedrooms are found on this floor. One has its own ensuite bathroom, whilst the other has sea views and has a bathroom just next door.
Take the steps downstairs to the lower ground floor where you will find a comfy living area with a TV, a fitness area and a laundry room. There are two further bedrooms: one double bedroom with ensuite bathroom, and one twin bedroom (convertible) with a bathroom next door. Please note that these rooms do not have conventional windows, but a window in the ceiling offering light and air.
There is a separate suite on the villa's first floor. Access is only via an external staircase found near the main entrance. This suite has a small kitchenette, a bathroom with a shower and a double bedroom.
Beaches
Erakle is close to some wonderful quiet beaches along Sicily’s south coast. Eraclea Minoa is just a stone’s throw away. Enjoy a lazy day on the sandy beach surrounded by aromatic pine trees. Torre Salsa Nature reserve is a haven of flora and fauna, and the sandy beach seems remote and uncrowded. You may even see some turtles! Borgo Bonsignore is extremely close to the villa too. San Leone, near Agrigento is a popular beach destination, and for a real wow factor, head to the Scala dei Turchi with its white cliffs that gently descend into the water.
Towns & Sights
Agrigento is the largest town in the area, and is famous for The Valley of the Temples archaeology park. Visit the town centre, and then make sure to take a trip back in time and stroll through the ancient Greek ruins. Sciacca is a charming fishing port and is a great choice if you want some fantastically fresh fish for lunch. Menfi is also nearby. It is famous for its wine production and so there are many wine bars to visit. For small-town vibes visit Ribera or Seccagrande where you will find charm aplenty and authentic Sicilian atmospheres.
Activities
A boat trip is a wonderful extra experience. Set sail and discover the hidden bays and coves, and swim in the clear waters straight from the boat. A private tour of Agrigento and its surroundings is a great way to see the sights with ease. You’ll be amazed by the temples in Agrigento; they are some of the best preserved in the world! Visit a local winery for a fun day out. You will see how the wine is made and then taste the wine! Or, if you prefer to stay at the villa, but indulge in some great food, book a cook service, or a cookery lesson!
