There are several archipelagoes off the coast of Sicily, some of which are reachable for a day trip. The wild Aegadian Islands offer an authentic glimpse into island life, whilst the Aeolian Islands are ever-so-chic and heartbreakingly beautiful!
A simply gorgeous group of eight islands off the north coast of Sicily. The Aeolian Islands are a chic destination: visit for pristine beaches, stunning scenery and stylish relaxation. Regular boats depart from Milazzo for day trips.
Off the west coast of Sicily, The Aegadian Islands have a wild beauty and laid-back style. The group of three islands are easily reachable from Trapani, but still maintain their non-touristy atmosphere.
Sicily's other off-shore islands all have their own identities and personalities. Ustica, close to Palermo, is great for a day trip, whilst Pantelleria and the Pelagian Islands are further away, but utterly beguiling.
