Trullo Marè is a luxury villa in Puglia with a swimming pool. This ancient complex of trulli has been restored with extreme attention to detail and has a simple yet elegant aesthetic style. The highlight of this villa is its panoramic location on the hills of Fasano that offers and a 180° view over the surrounding countryside and out to sea.

A series of terraces on various levels offering incredible views of the Adriatic Sea were created during Trullo Marè’s restoration, only making the villa’s hilltop position even more magnificent. There are breathtaking views from every corner of the villa, and you’ll want to spend all your time outside in this peaceful location, with breezes coming from the hills that mitigate the summer heat.
On one of these terraces that can be reached via a stone staircase you will find the saltwater pool that seems to be hanging over the valley below. There are comfortable sunloungers and umbrellas in this area, as well as an outdoor shower. On the patio just outside the trullo, next to the kitchen, is an outside dining table covered by a gazebo and a barbecue. This area is ideal for al fresco meals in a truly idyllic environment.
There is also a further roof terrace that can be reached via an external staircase. This exclusive area offers the best views of the gorgeous surrounding countryside, with the tip of the trullo only adding to the characteristic beauty of this incredible view.
Up to six guests can stay at Trullo Marè. This recently restored complex of trulli is furnished with a style that blends Scandinavian minimalism – stemming from the owners’s Swedish origins – with typical and authentic Puglian rustic touches.
The glass entrance door, with a lunette above, leads into an open-plan living area that includes the kitchen and the living room. The kitchen has all the equipment you need as well as an induction hob, and also has a dining table for six people and a TV. The living area has a sofa and two armchairs. This room is so bright and welcoming thanks to the sliding French doors that lead out to the terrace.
There are two bedrooms on the ground floor, both with king size beds. One of the bedrooms is in a trullo and has a cupola ceiling as well as direct access to the garden. There is a third bedroom on the first floor that has a French bed. You can reach this bedroom via a staircase from the living area.
All three bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms with thermostatic shower and Japanese-style toilets, which have an integrated bidet, heated seats, drying functions, and an automatic cleaning system that can be activated using a remote control.
There is also air-conditioning and heating throughout the whole property.
Trullo Marè has a wonderful location that allows you to easily visit the beautiful coastline nearby and also explore the incredible historic and cultural sights of the area. The villa is 20 minutes from the Parco Natural della Dune Costiere that extends from Torre Canne to Torre San Leonardo. These series of beaches have long stretches of fine sand and crystal clear water surrounded by Mediterranean scrub brush and sandy dunes. To the north you can visit Capitolo di Monopoli beach which alternates between sandy dunes and rocky bays with lidos and also free areas. Capitolo di Monopoli has been a Blue Flag beach – recognised for the quality of its beach and water – for ten years, and in 2024 Dune Costiere was also awarded Blue Flag status.
The charming towns of the Valle d’Itria are only 30 minutes from the hills of Fasano where Trullo Marè is found. Don’t miss Alberobello, Locorotondo, Cisternino, Martina Franca and Putignano.
On the coast, Polignano a Mare is a real beauty. This small town is set on a cliff overlooking the sea. Monopoli is also charming, especially at the end of the day where sunset creates a gorgeous display of ever-changing colours over the picturesque port.
Don’t miss Ostuni. This town’s centre has white buildings, narrow cobbled streets decorated with colourful flowers. Strolling through the time is like stepping back into the past.
Wherever you are in this part of Puglia, you shouldn’t neglect the food! Stop off at a local trattoria for either lunch or dinner and try some of Puglia’s traditional specialties like orecchiette con cime di rapa or classic bombette delle Valle d’Itria.
The Grotte di Castellana cave also is a must! This series of underground Karstic caves will leave you speechless, and is only 20 km from the villa.
