Indoor

Simple yet stylish, Trulli di Puglia has a wonderfully understated feel with traditional touches throughout. White walls and stone ceilings create an authentic atmosphere that’s ideal for pure relaxation. Bright and breezy, the high ceilings, pale colours, and the use of natural materials come together to create a unique property. A true symbol of Puglia, the villa is made of five restored trulli. Walking into the main sitting room with its domed roof is a wonderful experience. Furnished with a sofa and armchairs, this room is also linked to a dining room. The villa has a simple galley-style kitchen with all you need to cook Puglian meals.

There are three double bedrooms. All the rooms are bright and airy with neutral tones and exposed stone walls and ceilings. There’s a feeling of complete peace and relaxation in each room. All the bedrooms have their own ensuite bathroom with a shower. The bathrooms also have great style with local touches and top-quality features throughout. One of these ensuite bathrooms also has a sunken bathtub under an evocative stone arch for an extra touch of luxury. All of the bedrooms are found on the ground floor.

A gorgeous spiral staircase makes a real impact, and takes you upstairs where you can find a roof terrace set amongst the trulli domes with jaw-dropping views over the surrounding countryside and out to sea.

There’s also a deconsecrated chapel on the upper level which has been converted into a second living area with a TV. This is a beautifully peaceful room that is steeped in history, it’s the best place to chill out, perhaps reading a book whilst taking a break from the sunshine.

Surrounding Area & Activities

Beaches

Trulli di Puglia is close to Puglia’s Adriatic coast where you can find incredible beaches. The Dune Costiere Natural Park is nearby and is well worth visiting. Stretching from Torre Canne to Torre San Leonardo, this park is a series of sandy beaches with clear water, and is famous for its sandy dunes and Mediterranean scrub brush. The beaches now have Blue Flag status too! Another beach close by is Capitolo di Monopoli. With both rocky and sandy areas, as well as lidos or free areas, this beach offers something for everyone!

Towns

The Valle d’Itria is famous for its beautiful towns, and Trulli di Puglia is perfectly positioned to explore them all. Monopoli is very close to the villa. Visit this seafront town and stroll through its streets stopping off for a gelato in one for the picturesque squares. For a smaller seaside town, Polignano a Mare is also a must! Ostuni is a highlight for many thanks to its incredible white buildings in the town centre, but Locorotondo and Martina Franca are also gorgeous. Make sure you stop off at a restaurant for a plate of bombette, or maybe some local orecchiete pasta! It goes without saying that Alberobello is unmissable. Full of trulli, this town is unique and a UNESCO World Heritage site

Activities

This part of Puglia has lots to see and do. Fasano Zoo is only a few minutes’ away and nature lovers will be wowed by Grotte di Castellana. These karstic caves are incredible. Visit and walk through the caves and be wowed by the stalactites and stalagmites.

This area is also famous for its food and wine. Why not visit a winery and enjoy a wine tasting (Negramaro or Fiano are particularly delicious), or book a table at a seafront restaurant at Polignano di Mare and indulge in some outstanding fresh fish.
