Villa Corte dei Vigneti shines bright in Puglia’s beautiful, tranquil countryside with red earth, ancient green shrubbery, and a thin line of blue from the sea on the horizon.
The highlight is the large swimming pool that has a modern system that does not require the use of any chlorine. There’s a lovely lawn around the pool with typical Mediterranean plants such as vines and olive trees. There are sun loungers and umbrellas set next to the pool where you can relax in this peaceful environment, and there's also an outdoor shower nearby.
In addition to the veranda, there are two other outdoor areas: a patio with sofas and tables under a shady bamboo covering, and another patio that is separate from the villa with benches and a wooden table. This is also shaded by bamboo. You can also play bocce in the garden - this is a fun, and simple game to be enjoyed with friends.
You can reach the roof terrace via some external stairs. This is the best spot to enjoy the views of the incredible countryside that surrounds the property.
Corte dei Vigneti has space for up to six guests, and has high-quality design. Every room has been furnished with great attention to detail, giving each room a distinct style.
The living area is partly inside, and partly in the veranda. The inside has a fireplace and a unique curved sofa, and is next to the dining room with a large table and TV, as well as the kitchen with all appliances you could need and an induction hob. The neutral tones of the wood and the walls, together with touches of colour from the furniture and decorations create a really evocative environment. The large veranda has sliding glass doors and has a seating area as well as a second dining table. The veranda is also home to the wood-burning oven that was painstakingly preserved during the villa’s renovation.
There are three bright and welcoming bedrooms with double beds. All the bedrooms have air conditioning, ensuite bathrooms with a shower, and direct access to the veranda. The three rooms are decorated with great taste and all have their own identity through the use of different colours. The villa also has a fourth guest bathroom with a washing machine.
Corte dei Vigneti is around 10 minutes’ away by car from Ostuni, also known as the White City. This incredible town has a panoramic position in the Valle d’Itria and is famous world-wide for its white buildings.
This is a great position from which you can easily explore the surrounding countryside and well-known towns in this part of Puglia including Locorotondo and Alberobello, with its unmistakable trulli that are a UNESCO World Heritage site. The trulli are a unique example of vernacular architecture. Originally used as rural dwellings and warehouses, today they are iconic symbols of Puglia and attract visitors from all over the world.
A visit to Martina Franca, famous for its beautiful Baroque architecture, and Cisternino, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy also known for its grilled meat in local restaurants, is also a must.
In about 15 minutes in the car you can reach the beach of Specchiolla with by its light-coloured sand and flat rocks where you can lie down and sun bathe in peace, and Costa Merlata with its golden sand, crystal-clear water, and breathtaking scenery. A few kilometres further, you can dive into the sea of Marina di Ostuni or explore other beaches in the area like Quarto di Monte, Torre Pozzelle, and Torre Guaceto, one of the most beautiful nature reserves in Puglia.
There really are so many experiences to enjoy during a holiday at Corte dei Vigneti. You can enjoy an in-villa cookery class during which you can learn the culinary traditions of the area, or you can visit local masseria, trulli, and farms and enjoy wine tastings or olive oil tastings that are so famous in the area. You could also book an in-villa cook service with a local chef, or even yoga lessons!
