Central Puglia
Two pearls of the Adriatic. This is the title used for Monopoli and Polignano a Mare. And it’s easy to see why. Both look out over the sea, and these two fascinating towns have charming town centres with winding streets, Baroque churches and historic palaces, and gorgeous scenery. This is all enhanced by a lively gastronomic culture that should be tried in the many restaurants that specialise in local dishes such as fresh fish and mussels.
These two jewels punctuate the Puglian coast and will win you over thanks to their amazing sea views, the beaches, and the turquoise sea, as well as their town centres rich in history. Leisurely visit everything, and take your time to surround yourself in an atmosphere reminiscent of another age.
